- Coming from a reconnaissance unit, I learned early on that protecting others isn’t just a job it’s a responsibility you carry with you every day. In recon, I spent countless hours observing, gathering information, and staying two steps ahead so my team could stay safe. That experience taught me patience, awareness, and the importance of being someone others can rely on in the toughest moments.
Now that I’m out of the military, I still feel that same drive to serve and protect. I want to use the skills I gained, staying calm under pressure, reading situations quickly, and making thoughtful decisions to help keep my community safe. Becoming a police officer gives me the chance to continue a mission that has always meant something to me: looking out for others, stepping in when it matters, and being a steady presence when people need it most.
